How do you get cats & dogs to live in the same household if they have been living in two separate ones?
Here’s my dilemma. My man has two dogs, a Rotweiler & a Shitzu. I have two cats, both female, both strictly domestic, both have been spayed. In the near future we plan to live together. Now the problem is, can we get the cats & dogs to live together as one big happy family? How do you introduce animals that are obviously supposed to be "enemies" to each other, into a new household? Is this at all possible? Any Vets out there with a real answer?

What should we replace our kitchen floor with in our condo?
We are getting ready to sell our condo and need to replace the kitchen floor due to a stain on the current linoleum. What should we replace it with? Regular linoleum again, linoleum that looks like wood, or a fake-wood planks (not sure on the proper wording!). We’d like to do it as cheap as possible, but also look nice enough that buyers will like it.

I’m trying to find out how much money is spent annually on handyman services. I would like to know an average amount of money that each household spends yearly on this sort of work and different websites that provide this information.
Calls to charge VAT on more household items
An economic think-tank has called on the Government to abolish VAT exemptions. At the moment, there’s no VAT charged on non-luxury foods, children’s clothing or household gas and electricity. The right-leaning Reform Group says if there was, then it would raise more than 8 billion pounds a year to help pay off our debt. They say it would be better than raising National Insurance and the top rate of income tax. Between 50 and 60 per cent of what the average household buys includes a VAT levy. Value Added Tax returned to 17.5 per cent in the New Year. It was reduced to 15 per cent in December 2008.
How do you prevent indoor household items from rusting when you live near the ocean?
AC is too expensive to leaving running all the time, and as a result, my windows are always open to allow air flow through my house. How can I prevent household items (pots, pans, anything that can rust) from rusting?
